Bruce Collett
Bruce Collett was born on the 2nd December 1927 at Nurse Birmingham’s Private Hospital Harris St. Harris Park (Municipality of Parramatta) New South Wales. The youngest of five children born to Arthur Henry & Emily Collett of No 7 (?) Grandview St Parramatta. The other children were; Jean Audrey (eldest) Arthur Henry (2nd) Doreen (3rd) Daphne (4th) The origins of the given name Bruce was probably after Lord Bruce who was Governor General of Australia at that time. Arthur Henry (Mick) Collett, father , was the eldest of nine children. His parents wer Arthur Henry and Maude Francis (nee Bailey) Collett and to all of their children and grand children they were known as Dad Dad and Mum Mum. Emily Collett, (nee Peacock) was the eldest child and only daughter (four brothers) o Jonothan and Mary Rachel (nee Hamer) Peacock.
